Copyright & takedown requests
Last updated: July 2, 2026
GTVault hosts content published by its users and promptly removes any infringing content that is properly notified to it (procedure inspired by the DMCA and the French LCEN).
Are you a rights holder?
Send your notice to contact@gtvault.org (subject: “Takedown — copyright”) including:
- your identity and contact details (name, email);
- identification of the protected work (links, proof of ownership);
- the exact URL of the mod(s) concerned on GTVault (e.g. gtvault.org/mods/mod-name);
- a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the rights holder;
- a statement that the information provided is accurate.
Signed-in users can also use the “Report this mod” button on each page (reason “Stolen / unauthorized content”).
Handling
- The notice is reviewed by moderation; if it is complete and well-founded, the mod is suspended (removed from public view) as soon as possible, then deleted if the infringement is confirmed.
- The mod's author is informed of the removal and its reason.
- Repeat infringers have their account suspended.
Counter-notice
If your mod was removed by mistake (you hold the rights or have authorization), reply to contact@gtvault.org with the material demonstrating your rights. The content may be restored after review.
Abuse
Knowingly false notices engage the liability of their author.
