Terms of use

By creating an account or using GTVault, you agree to these terms. The platform lets you publish, discover and download modifications (“mods”) for games in the Grand Theft Auto series.

Account

• A public username and a password are enough; email is optional.
• Without an email on file, a forgotten password cannot be recovered: the account becomes permanently inaccessible.
• You are responsible for actions taken with your account.

Publishing mods — rules

• Only .zip archives.
• You must hold the rights to what you publish (or authorization from co-authors, whom you can credit on the mod page).
• Prohibited: pirated content or content copied without permission, online cheating files, malware, illegal content.
• Every file we host goes through an automatic antivirus scan before publication and may be placed under manual review. A colored shield indicates the scan status; an orange badge flags caution points without blocking the download.
• Some entries link to a file hosted on the author's own official site instead of being mirrored here. Those carry an « Official site » shield: we never download them, so we never scan them, and the download is governed by that site's own terms.

Moderation, suspension and removal

The moderation team may place a mod under review, suspend it (remove it from public view) or delete it in case of a breach of these terms, a confirmed threat detection, or following a copyright notice (see the takedown procedure). Serious or repeated violations may lead to account suspension.

User content

Mods remain the property of their authors. By publishing on GTVault, you grant the platform the non-exclusive right to host, display and distribute your files and images as part of the service. You can edit, hide or delete your mods at any time from “My mods”.

Downloads

Files are scanned automatically, but no absolute guarantee is given: you install mods at your own risk. Back up your game files.

Liability

GTVault is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of availability. The publisher is not liable for damage resulting from the use of downloaded mods, to the extent permitted by law.
